As the name implies, our organization aims to take proactive initiatives to support and empower women, men, girls, and boys concerning factors that affect their physical, emotional, social, economic, and psychological or psychosocial health and well-being.
INITIATIVES FOR DEVELOPMENT AND EMPOWERMENT FOR ALL (IDEA-INTERNATIONAL) is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental, and humanitarian organization that was established in 2020. It is registered with the government of the Republic of Liberia
As the name implies, this organization aims to take proactive initiatives to support and empower women, men, girls, and boys concerning factors that affect their physical, emotional, social, economic, and psychological or psychosocial health and well-being. Ernest Deline Sr. is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IDEA-INTERNATIONAL.
IDEA-INTERNATIONAL's overarching vision is to make communities safe and healthy places to live. A key focus of the organization is to prioritize health, community health as well as reproductive health education, particularly among the most vulnerable populations. Additionally, IDEA-INTERNATIONAL is dedicated to preventing or eradicating all forms of violence against women and girls by actively working to enhance gender equality within homes and communities. IDEA international implements education programs including STEM Education for women and girls.
By addressing these critical issues, the organization aims to transform the areas of its operation into ideal environments where people can live, work, and invest, ultimately experiencing a higher standard of living. IDEA-INTERNATIONAL recognizes that empowering individuals, especially those who have been marginalized or disadvantaged, is crucial for the sustainable development and well-being of the communities it serves.
Through a multifaceted approach that combines educational initiatives, community outreach, and targeted interventions, IDEA-INTERNATIONAL is committed to making a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of the people it serves. The organization's dedication to its mission and its unwavering commitment to fostering positive change are the driving forces behind its work.
Recent Causes
Women's Empowerment Microfinance and loan Program
We are currently running microfinance and loan program for women who are involved in petit/small businesses but lack the capital to sustain them, and have limited access to finance institution. Women complained of the higher interest rate offered by finance institutions. This limits their ability to correct and be able to repay on time and the impact is small. We created this program to offer women the opportunity to have access to finances that enhance their businesses. They also benefit from our business enhancement training programs that support them in enhancing their business. This has helped and is helping women to have access and control over economic resources including money. Their decision making and negotiation capacities have increased greatly. over 1000 women are currently benefiting this microfinance and loan program in Liberia. They can borrow money based on our offer and then pay it back after three months. After repaying the loan, they can apply for additional loans as many times as they need."
From 2021 to 2023, IDEA International implemented a livelihood project in three counties: Montserrado, Nimba and Bong counties. The project supported vulnerable women, girls, men and boys who were disabled, widows, inmate and survivors of gender based violence. Quarterly provision and distribution of food and non-food items to the disables, widows, the poor and sick people including men and at various orphanages in the three counties. This project was supported by Feed the Hungry Africa chapter and other private donors to alleviate the suffering of the targeted people. This initiative was well appreciated by the stakeholders and the beneficiaries. Over 2500 women, girls, men and boys benefited from this project across the three counties.

Christmas Celebration Party
